PHOENIX – Popular Valley-based Huss Brewing Co. plans to open a taproom/restaurant at the Phoenix Convention Center in the fall.

Construction at Monroe and Third streets is expected to begin by the summer, the company said Monday.

The brewpub will be an indoor-outdoor space and include a takeout counter.

Husband and wife co-founders Jeff and Leah Huss operate two other sites – the flagship brewpub Huss Brewing Company in Tempe and Huss Brewing Co. Taproom and Kitchen in central Phoenix.

“Jeff and I have been working on this project for almost three years,” Leah Huss said in a press release.

“We’re looking forward to being a part of the downtown Phoenix community and helping the revitalization of the area, especially bringing a vibrant nightlife back to downtown’s sports, arts and events community.”

Huss had mapped out opening the site last year, but the coronavirus pandemic put construction on hold.

However, that delay led to the addition of the carryout area, which will feature compartments for delivery pickup and a kiosk to place to-go orders.

We want to hear from you.
