PHOENIX — Dog lovers in the Valley may be pleased to know an Arizona city ranked as one of the top emerging dog-friendly cities in America.
Glendale was listed No. 8 for emerging dog-friendly cities of 2021, according to a Zillow and Rover survey released in May.
Some features sought after by dog owners in the top dog-friendly cities included for-sale listings mentioning dog parks and fenced-in outdoor spaces.
The survey found approximately 84% of dog owners said they are willing to spend more money for dog-friendly features.
“This year, we spent an extraordinary amount of time with our pets, and many of us relied on their companionship more than ever. As a result, our emotional bonds with our pets also strengthened,” Rover trends expert Kate Jaffe said.
“Pets are taking on an even greater role in our families, so it follows that our dogs’ needs are a top priority for pet parents considering a new home.”
Approximately 1,000 U.S. dog owners from cities with a population of 200,000 or greater were surveyed through Pollfish in April 2021.
