PHOENIX — Forecasters expect a healthy dose of sun and triple-digit temperatures in Phoenix over Memorial Day weekend.
For those starting the long weekend early, Friday’s high temperature is forecast to reach 102 degrees.

Slightly above normal temperatures are expected through the first half of next week. Highs will warm from around 100° today to closer to 105° by next Wed. #azwx pic.twitter.com/yPRRXI1PhA

Monday’s holiday will see a high of 102 degrees with wind gusts of up to 20 mph.
No rain is forecast throughout the weekend and low temperatures will typically be in the lower 70s.
Because of the warm, dry temperatures, NWS and fire officials are urging those traveling to be careful to avoid starting fires.
Stage I and II fire restrictions are in effect in most forests across the state.
Smoking is also now prohibited in certain areas of Maricopa County’s 11 regional parks.
