PHOENIX — Z’Tejas Southwest Grill is celebrating International Burger Day on Friday by opening a brand new ghost kitchen concept dedicated to serving up the American classic.

The restaurant, known for its southwestern-style cuisine including Santa Fe enchiladas, diablo pasta and shrimp tostada bites, will operate Woo Woo Burgers out of its Chandler location at 7221 W. Ray Road.

The ghost kitchen will feature a straightforward menu of burgers, chicken sandwiches and sides for pick-up curbside or online via third-party food delivery platforms, according to a press release.

“We’re excited to launch this new concept,” Robby Nethercut, chief operating officer of Woo Woo Burgers, said in the release.

“Woo Woo Burgers is a passion project of ours. It’s the delicious, simple type of food that we love made with the best ingredients.”

The restaurant is donating 10% of total sales for the first 10 days to the Phoenix-based Living Hope Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit founded by cancer survivors dedicated to providing cancer support to patients and caregivers through lifestyle coaching and patient advocacy education, according to the release.

Z’Tejas Southwest Grill has two locations in the Valley with a third set to open in Scottsdale on June 18, along with two additional locations in Texas.

One of the Texas locations will also operate the new ghost kitchen concept out of its restaurant.
