Here are employers who are hiring in metro Phoenix

With businesses opening to full capacity and looking to rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic, employers in metro Phoenix and Arizona are looking to hire.

Below are announcements of available jobs in the Valley and in some instances, across the state.

Dec. 16

ASU/Aramark — The university is hosting a hiring event for a variety of jobs.

Available positions are for cashiers, food service workers, baristas, cooks and general utility workers.

Interviews will be held at 4400 S. Rural Road in Tempe from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Other companies hiring

Bell Bank Park — The new 320-acre, world-class sports facility set to open soon in Mesa is looking to hire more than 500 jobs.

The facility, located at Ellsworth and Pecos roads, is set to open in January.

Open positions include operations management, support staff, financial support, marketing, food and beverage services, park attendees, concessions, security, entertainment and guest services.

Lou Malnati’s — The pizzeria is hiring 50 employees for its Gilbert location that is scheduled to open later this year.

Positions are available for delivery drivers, kitchen crew and phone staff.

Interviews will occur in person or over Zoom depending on availability.

Honor Health — The Valley health care system is hiring for 1,200 positions.

Available positions include both clinical and non-clinical roles, such as registered nurses, allied health professionals, support services, including customer navigation coordinators and IT roles, and leadership positions.

Select full-time positions will get bonuses ranging from $1,500 to $15,000 based on the role and experience level.

Arizona’s Children Association — AzCA has 153 job openings and is offering hiring bonuses.

Openings are primarily available for case managers and clinicians.

Bonuses of $500 for field staff and $1,000 for clinicians are available.

Carvana — The online car retailer is looking to hire for 1,500 positions.

All openings are full-time and remote indefinitely, with plans for a return to the Tempe offices in the future.

Verizon — The company has 29 open positions in Phoenix and Prescott.

Job seekers can apply online.

Banner Health — The health care system is offering signing bonuses upon hiring for some positions.

In Arizona, Banner is looking to hire registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, housekeeping/environmental services, culinary services and medical imaging.

Fry’s Food Stores — The grocer is hiring for more than 800 positions statewide. Full- and part-time positions are available. Fry’s is looking to hire assistant department heads, all-purpose clerks, courtesy clerks, pharmacy technicians, department management positions, cheese mongers and more.

UPS — The package delivery company is hiring over 200 permanent, part-time employees for packing handling positions at its sortation hubs in Phoenix and Goodyear.

The jobs come with health care, retirement contributions, tuition assistance and a discounted stock purchase program.

Starting pay is up to $16 per hour.

CVS — The health services company is hiring to fill 500 service and clinical professional positions at its new Aetna One Advocate office in Chandler within the next 12 to 24 months.

Job opportunities are for customer service advocates, nurse case managers, care manager associates, health provider advocates, customer service managers and supervisors, and clinical health services supervisors.

Barro’s Pizza — The family-owned pizza chain is looking to hire 400 people for its more than 40 locations in metro Phoenix and Tucson.

Most positions are for counter personnel, cooks and delivery drivers at all locations.

The restaurant is hiring immediately and applications are available online.

Arizona Downs — The horse racing track located in Prescott Valley is now hiring for multiple part-time and full-time positions for the 2021 race season.

Job opportunities are available for both food service and security.

Experience is not required and on-site job training will be provided.

The food service positions start at an hourly rate of $13, and the security positions pay starts at $14.
