PHOENIX – Barely a blip on the map in northwest Arizona, White Hills is more exciting than Las Vegas for the lucky Arizona Lottery player who bought a jackpot ticket there worth $665,989.

The Last Stop Travel Center on Highway 93 sold the Triple Twist game ticket, which matched all six numbers – 14, 17, 19, 25, 28, 41 — for Tuesday’s drawing and has yet to be claimed, according to a press release.

Because of the travel center’s location northwest of Kingman, not far from the Nevada border, lottery officials believe the winner could be a trucker or somebody from out of state.

Triple Twist is a $2 daily game with a top prize that starts at $200,000 and grows until somebody hits the jackpot. In December 2020, a $1.5 million Triple Twist ticket was sold in Phoenix.

Although it’s not completely deserted now, with a few hundred residents, White Hills was considered a ghost town after a silver mining boom in the late 1800s went bust.

The Mohave County community is officially considered a census-designated place.
