PHOENIX — Developers of a shopping center undergoing a renovation in Scottsdale announced Thursday occupancy is almost full.

The 69,755 square-foot center located at Tatum and Dynamite boulevards is now 83% occupied, with a $1.5 million renovation almost complete.

“When we purchased the center it had out-of-state ownership, and out-of-state property management,” David Malin, president of Scottsdale Development Partners, said in a press release.

The Shops at Dynamite Creek’s new tenants are Loco J’s Tacos and Tequilas, OrthoArizona and Remax.

Current occupants include ACE Hardware, Honor Health, Tailgaters and The Creek Patio Grill.

The commercial real estate company purchased the $10.5 million center in August 2020.

Malin said the 20-year-old center has been repainted a white and beige color and light fixtures have been added to the center’s water fountain.

The developer said they were in negotiations with another sit-down restaurant.
