PHOENIX — A freestanding cardiovascular ambulatory surgery center will soon open in Sun City and offer outpatient cardiology-specific care to patients in the West Valley.

Arizona-based Banner Health and Atlas Healthcare Partners are partnering with Cardiac Solutions to open the surgery center this spring, according to a press release on Wednesday.

The surgery center will have three cath labs and capabilities for conducting diagnostic heart catheterizations, heart stenting (PCI), electrophysiology device implants – pacemakers, loop recorders and AICDs – as well as peripheral arterial disease (PAD).

Atlas Healthcare Partners will oversee the new Banner Cardiovascular Center, according to the release. Banner Health partnered with the company in 2018 to develop, manage and grow their ambulatory surgery centers (ASC) network.

“We are excited to work with Banner Health and Cardiac Solutions and help align and expand the cardiovascular service line,” Aric Burke, CEO of Atlas Healthcare Partners, said in the release.

“This is a great opportunity to bring lower cost, outpatient cardiovascular care to Banner patients and we’re happy to utilize our ASC development and management expertise to contribute to the evolution of cardiovascular care.”

The surgery center is the first Banner Cardiovascular Center of its kind, according to the release.
