PHOENIX – Music legend, philanthropist and Valley resident Alice Cooper is staging a benefit concert at Mesa golf course on Saturday night with other big hitters called Coopstock: Music on the Green.
The iconic shock rocker, who recently released his 28th studio album, “Detroit Stories,” lined up Kiss guitarist Tommy Thayer, original Foreigner vocalist Lou Gramm and Asia featuring John Payne for the show, which is scheduled for 6-11 p.m. at Las Sendas Golf Club.
Reserved seats are sold out, but lawn seating was available online as of Friday morning for $89 plus fees. Fans can bring their own blankets, lawn chairs and sealed water bottles to the venue at 7555 E. Eagle Crest Drive in northeast Mesa.
Face masks are required for entry. Bars and food trucks will be available.
Parking is free, but ride-sharing services are encouraged.
All proceeds go to Cooper’s Solid Rock Teen Centers. The nonprofit group is set to open its second facility next month in Mesa.
