Firefighters battle brush fire in Goodyear

PHOENIX — Crews battled a brush fire that caused road closures in Goodyear on Thursday, authorities said.
The blaze shut down Estrella Parkway in both directions near MC 85 at about 12:30 p.m. before reopening with delays just after 6 p.m.
A suspect was taken into custody without incident for reckless burning, the Goodyear Police Department tweeted.
Authorities asked people to avoid the area.
No other information was available.
