Students, staff evacuated from Dysart High School over possible threat

PHOENIX — Students and staff were evacuated from Dysart High School in El Mirage for about three hours over a possible threat, authorities said Wednesday.
Officers were on scene at the high school at about 8 a.m. for a reported explosive device, Lt. Tim Mason with the El Mirage Police Department told KTAR News 92.3 FM in an email.
Police said the campus was safe at about 11:20 a.m. and students returned to class.
No arrests have been made, police said.
Parents were encouraged to wait to hear from their children as some may not be immediately be able to get in contact with them.
El Mirage PD is continuing its investigation of the threat.
No other information was immediately available.
