1 killed and another injured in hit-and-run crash in Glendale

PHOENIX — One man was killed and another man was injured in a hit-and-run crash involving a pick-up truck in Glendale.
Police said two men, ages 37 and 35, were struck by a Dodge Ram pickup truck around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday morning near the intersection of 71st and Glendale avenues.
Both men were transported to the hospital where the 37-year-old man was pronounced dead. The 35-year-old is in stable condition and expected to survive, according to a release.

Police identified the man killed as Gustav Danielson of Avondale. The 35-year-old was identified as a resident of Gilbert.
A photo of the vehicle was released, as police began an investigation into the crash.
Police suspect the vehicle is a silver Dodge Ram with damage to the front from the crash, including a missing side mirror on the driver’s side of the vehicle.
