Arrowhead Towne Center evacuated over unverified bomb threat

PHOENIX — Arrowhead Towne Center in Glendale was evacuated Saturday afternoon after receiving an email of a bomb threat, police say.
GPD is working a security threat at Arrowhead Towne Center. The mall has been evacuated while police work to secure the area. We are asking people to avoid the area at this time.

Investigators say no evidence verifying the threat was found. The area surrounding the mall reopened around 4:45 p.m.
Some of the businesses will remain closed for the remainder of the day, according to Glendale police.
The investigation into the threat is ongoing.
