Loop 202 Santan Freeway overnight closures, restrictions start Tuesday

PHOENIX — Overnight ramp closures and lane restrictions are expected on a section of Loop 202 Santan Freeway in Gilbert starting Tuesday, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The eastbound Loop 202 off-ramp at Val Vista Drive will be closed from 11:30 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday. To detour, drivers can exit at Santan Village Parkway.

The closures come as crews continue work on the future Lindsay Road interchange that will provide direct access to Gilbert’s business district and improve traffic flow.
Meanwhile, eastbound Loop 202 will be narrowed to two lanes from Lindsay Road to Val Vista Drive from 11:30 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday.
Westbound Loop 202 will be down to two lanes from Lindsay to Gilbert roads from 11:30 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday, and 11:30 p.m. Friday until 8 a.m. Saturday.
Lindsay Road will be restricted to one lane in both directions between Pecos and Germann roads starting March 9 through the duration of the interchange project.
