PHOENIX — A section of Interstate 10 near downtown Phoenix and a portion of Loop 101 in the North Valley are scheduled to be closed this weekend, the Arizona Department of Transportation said Thursday.
In north Phoenix, the westbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed between State Route 51 and Seventh Street from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday as pavement diamond grinding continues on the widening project.
The Northbound SR 51 ramp to westbound Loop 101 and the westbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Cave Creek Road will both be closed.
Near downtown Phoenix, eastbound I-10 will also be shut down between the I-17 stack interchange east of 35th Avenue and Seventh Street from 9 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday for tunnel lighting work.
