When Super Bowl XLIX rolls into the Phoenix area, the entire city will be able to join in on the fun.
“There will be lots of activities in downtown Phoenix for the week leading up to it, the Waste Management Phoenix Open is happening in Scottsdale, Scottsdale is having its own fan fest at Scottsdale Fashion Square, Tempe has a number of activities, and then obviously DirecTV and Game Day are prominently held, appropriately held in Glendale,” David Rousseau, chairman of the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee.
Rousseau said, while Valley residents are playing, a total of $2 million will be raised for charity.
“It’s something that we can all point to long after this in terms of the impact we’ve had,” he said.
