According to Fox News, the grandparents of 8-year-old Sunnie Kahle received a letter from Timberland Christian School notifying them that their grandaughter wouldn’t be able to enroll next year if she didn’t change her appearance in accordance with the school’s “biblical standards.”
“We believe that unless Sunnie as well as her family clearly understand that God has made her female and her dress and behavior need to follow suit with her God-ordained identity, that TCS is not the best place for her future education,” the letter read.
School administrators reportedly complained that Sunnie acted too much like a boy, and other students had been confused about whether she was a boy or girl. Sunnie has since left the school and enrolled at a public elementary school in the area.
