It’s no secret that Hollywood studios are sometimes left scrambling after the death of an actor, be it of natural causes or not.
Some studios opt to remove the role, some hire a new actor and others find workarounds. It all depends on the importance of the part.
But what if deceased actors continue to star in movies, thanks to technology?
According to Hollywood Reporter, that may soon be a possibility.
The crew of “Fast and Furious 7” is using a combination of body doubles and CGI animation to fill the void left by Paul Walker, who was killed in a car crash.
“They have hired four actors with bodies very similar to Paul’s physique and they will be used for movement and as a base,” an unnamed production source told the paper. “Paul’s face and voice will be used on top using CGI.”
Would you watch a movie featuring a deceased actor? Or would that be too morbid, weird, strange, etc.?
