Study: Happiness gets better with age

If you’re one of those people that doesn’t like the prospect of aging, you mind want to change your mind.
A new study says that happiness is found in old age.
According to the Daily Mail, the study released by the State University of New York at Stony Brook found out that after age 50, people tend to become happier.
By 85, people were more satisfied with themselves than when they were at a bright and sprightly 18 years of age.
Even though health deteriorates as we age, it seems that older people have a better outlook on life and learn how to cope with problems better than younger people.
Dr. Arthur A. Stone, who was the author of the study, speculated on several theories why this might be the case.
‘It could be that there are environmental changes, or it could be psychological changes about the way we view the world, or it could even be biological – for example brain chemistry or endocrine changes.’
The study was based on a telephone poll of 340,000 people.
