Chick-fil-A president says ‘guilty’ to being anti-gay marriage

Apparently, chicken and religion now mix.

In an interview with the Baptist Press, Dan Cathy, the president of popular fast food chain Chick-fil-A said he was “guilty as charged” when asked if he was against gay marriage.

Cathy said that his thousands of employees are given training instructions that have a basis in Christian principles.

“But as an organization we can operate on biblical principles. So that is what we claim to be. [We are] based on biblical principles, asking God and pleading with God to give us wisdom on decisions we make about people and the programs and partnerships we have. And He has blessed us.”

While some Christian values are good for everyone, Cathy — and his chain — have been criticized for speaking out against gay marriage and donating to Christian groups that are anti-homosexuality.

What do you think? Cathy clearly has a right to his own opinion, but should is he speaking for his employees as well?
