PHOENIX – Chandler apparel maker State Forty Eight is flexing a little muscle with an expansion of its store and services.
The shop at Arizona Avenue and Elliot Road is taking over the spot next door to add 5,500 square feet, including warehouse space for its recently launched screen-printing and embroidery services, company officials said Tuesday.
Headquarters will be moved to the new space.
“The decision to expand our space and our services was simply the natural progression of where our business is headed,” company co-founder and CEO Michael Spangenberg said in a press release.
“The goal is to bring as much as we can in-house in order to improve productivity and expenses.”
The company has been selling its brand of T-shirts, caps, backpacks, cups, wallets and more since 2013 and announced the screen-printing and embroidery work late last year.
“I am thrilled that Chandler will continue to be part of their story,” Mayor Kevin Hartke said in the press release.
The store will remain open during the expansion.
