PHOENIX — Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying four men accused of six armed robberies in metro Phoenix in the span of a week late last year.

The “Jeepers Bandits” robbed smoke shops and a Cold Stone Creamery in Phoenix and Glendale between Nov. 27 and Dec. 4, according to a press release from the FBI.

The bandits got their nicknames because their appearances are similar to Shaggy Rogers from Scooby-Doo, who frequently said “jeepers.”

The suspects enter the businesses posing as customers, wait for other customers to leave, pull out guns and demand employees place money in their bags, according to the FBI.

No one has been injured during the robberies.

The first suspect is described as 20-to-25-year-old Hispanic male with black hair who is between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8 and between 200 and 220 pounds.

He has worn a baseball hat, blue sweatshirt or black t-shirt with “Metallica” on the front, a face mask and clear latex gloves.

The second suspect is a 20-to-25-year-old white male with brown hair who is between 5-foot-9 and 6-foot and between 160 and 170 pounds.

He has worn a baseball hat, American flag gaiter-style mask and orange gloves.

The third suspect is described as an early 20s Hispanic male with black hair who is 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds.

He’s worn red shoes, jeans and a Denver Broncos sweatshirt.

The fourth suspect is an early 20s Hispanic male with black hair who is between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 and is 225 pounds.

He has worn a red University of Arizona sweatshirt, blue shorts and an American flag mask.

Anyone with information regarding the bandits is asked to call the FBI at 623-466-1999, Silent Witness at 480-948-6377 or submit a tip online.

We want to hear from you.
