PHOENIX — Authorities are searching for a 2-year-old girl who was taken by her biological father in west Phoenix on Thursday.

The father, identified as Tyler Garbett, took off with the child in a white 2009 Nissan Versa with a license plate of “T3A7YA” near 71st Avenue and Roeser Street just after 1 p.m.

The child, Aurora Pertrin, is 26 inches tall, weighs 25 pounds and was last seen wearing a Spaghetti-strap pink dress with white polka dots and pink shoes with a unicorn face.

Garbett was last seen wearing a white plain t-shirt, tan button-up shirt and khaki shorts.

The mother allowed Garbett to drive the car for a short distance to check the mail, according to authorities.

Once the mother exited the car, authorities said Garbett drove away with the child in the back seat.

Garbett has a history of drug abuse, according to authorities.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office at 602-876-1011.

We want to hear from you.
