PHOENIX – Police said Wednesday they are investigating three overnight shootings in Phoenix that left three men fighting for their lives.

The first occurred around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday near 27th Avenue and Adams Street, according to a Phoenix Police Department statement.

Responding officers found a man with gunshot wounds inside his vehicle. He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

An unknown suspect driving south on 27th Avenue had stopped to shoot at the victim, police said, and fled before the officers arrived.

About two hours later, a shooting was reported at a motel on Dunlap Avenue near 19th Avenue.

Officers found two men in a room with life-threatening gunshot wounds. No other details were made available.

About 10 minutes later, at 2 a.m. Wednesday, another shooting was reported near 43rd Avenue and Indian School Road.
