PHOENIX – A 6-year-old Glendale boy got hold of the keys to his parents’ truck and went for a short drive early Tuesday before crashing into a house down the street.
Glendale Police said in an email someone inside the damaged home near 85th and Northern avenues suffered minor injuries but the boy behind the wheel was all right.
Police Sgt. Randy Stewart said the boy managed to back the truck out of the family’s driveway, then drove down the street.
The crash caused a small gas leak. A utility company repair crew had to shut off the line before the truck could be removed from the house.
Police said an investigation was underway.
No other details were immediately available.
