2015 Legislative session: What happened? Winners and losers?

Apr 17, 2015, 11:06 PM | Updated: 11:06 pm

The republic is safe, the Legislature has adjourned.

There is a new governor and an even more conservative Legislature. So what did they actually do? What happened with respect to taxes, educational spending, changes in election law, and hot-button social issues (guns, abortion, healthcare, etc.)?

• Who were the big winners and losers?

• Who has Doug Ducey’s ear? To whom is he beholden?
• What changes did the legislature enact?
• Was there a pattern in which bills got vetoed?

Two of the most astute observers of state politics, Howie Fisher and John Gilliland, are in the Think Tank this week to answer these and other questions.
