Silver Alert canceled after 87-year-old woman found safe

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert was canceled late Sunday after a missing 87-year-old woman last seen near Goodyear was found safe, authorities said.
Lorene Hawkes and her husband, traveling in separate cars, stopped for gas around 3:15 pm at a gas station near Dysart and McDowell Roads on their way from Nevada to Texas, Goodyear Police said.
Hawkes was found in Flagstaff after a few hours.
She had left the gas station in a white 2012 Nissan Murano four-door sedan with a Nevada license plate of 265LZF, while her husband left in another car.
No other information was available.
