Tempe man turns himself in after shooting ex-wife’s boyfriend

A Tempe man accused of murdering his ex-wife’s new boyfriend has turned himself in to police.
Julio Cesar Galindo Hernandez is now in custody after submitting himself to Phoenix Police late Saturday night. He was booked into Tempe City Jail and is facing one count of first degree murder, confirms Sgt. Steve Carbajal.
Hernandez, 39, went to confront his ex-wife and her new boyfriend early Friday morning. During the confrontation, the woman ran to call police, and Hernandez fatally shot the man. He then fled in his vehicle.
When patrol officers arrived on scene, they found the man had died from his injuries. His name has not yet been released.
