PHOENIX — The cooler temperatures in the Valley this week are only here for a short visit, so enjoy the nonblazing sunshine while it lasts.
The winds have lessened and Thursday will be a cool day by Valley standards, with a high in the mid-70s. But Dan Leins with the National Weather Service said the cooldown will be short-lived.
“This will be our coolest day and we’ll be right back into the eighties by the time we get into the weekend,” Leins said.
By Friday, the high will scoot back up to around 84 and keep climbing until Sunday’s 90 degrees.
It’s chilly in the high country. The Grand Canyon dropped to the mid-teens and Flagstaff was in the low 20s.
