PHOENIX — Two prisoners on the loose after escaping from the Arizona State Prison in Florence attempted a robbery Saturday, officials say.

The inmates, David T. Harmon and John B. Charpiot, were recorded on security footage attempting to rob a business in Florence, Arizona Department of Public Safety said in a tweet.

In photos of the footage, the men are wearing white long sleeve t-shirts.

Both men are said to have medical issues and may try to visit drug stores or pharmacies, according to DPS. The men are still at large.

The two inmates were last accounted for at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and were missing for the 8:30 p.m. count.

Harmon was set to serve 100 years for kidnapping and second-degree burglary. He was admitted to the prison in 2012.

Charpiot was admitted in 2011 and set to serve 35 years for child molestation and sexual abuse.

The inmates are considered dangerous and the public is asked not to engage with them.

A reward of $35,000 per prisoner is being offered for information leading to their arrest.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is urged to call 911 or Silent Witness at 480-948-6377.

We want to hear from you.
