PHOENIX — New Mexico-based chemical and gas management company Rinchem is expanding its facility in Chandler.

The company, which provides high purity, pre-packaged chemicals and gases to the pharmaceutical, biotech, semiconductor and aerospace industries, will expand its building that’s near the intersection of 56th Street and westbound Allison Road. The facility, which is located near Loop 202 in Chandler — will expand from 100,000 to 150,000 square feet, according to a city of Chandler press release.

Construction on the $10 million project is underway and scheduled for completion in June, creating 25 new jobs with the possibility of more in the future, according to the release.

Rinchem CEO Chuck Breinholt said the company’s decision to expand its existing building in Chandler stemmed from a multitude of reasons, including the plethora of companies in the region and steadfast economic growth in the region.

“We’re excited to be a part of a collaborative effort with the City of Chandler to expand our facility,” Breinholt said in the release. “Rinchem is dedicated to growth as we challenge ourselves to regularly innovate and improve. We look forward to the expansion and to adding well-paying jobs to Chandler’s local economy.”

Chandler mayor Kevin Hartke added in the release that the city is thrilled to see companies like Rinchem, which has the largest network of chemical and gas distribution centers globally, continue to make investments in the region.

“Rinchem is in a great location for growth with the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway expansion providing further access to talent for West Chandler employers,” Hartke said in the release. “Our West Chandler employment corridor is home to nearly 30,000 employees and we are thrilled to see hiring growth from Rinchem.”
