PHOENIX — The holidays may be over but winter is sticking around for a few more months and a luxury Valley hotel is offering activities to enjoy what’s left of the season.

The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess near Hayden Road and the Loop 101 is holding a “Winter at the Princess” event until March 21.

People can enjoy a 6,000 square-foot ice skating rink, a snow mountain with a 120-foot ice slide, an alpine skate trail featuring 5,200 square-feet of real ice and an ice maze with more than 300 feet of glacier ice.

Other activities include ax throwing, rock climbing and live music at Campfire Park where people can roast s’mores over a fire pit while enjoying winter beverages.

The event is open Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and closes one hour later on Fridays and Saturdays.

A general admission wristband costs $15, while self-parking and general admission cost $60 for four people.

Reservations can be made online.

People can get 50% off the valet parking and admission price by spending at least $75 at one of the hotel’s restaurants or get complimentary admission by booking an overnight stay.

Some amenities, such as ice skating, require an ice pass that costs $25.

We want to hear from you.
