Closures on Loop 101, Loop 202 to hinder weekend drivers

PHOENIX — Sections of the Loop 101 Pima Freeway in north Phoenix and Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway will be closed over the weekend for improvement projects, the Arizona Department of Transportation said.
Westbound Loop 101 will be closed between State Route 51 and Cave Creek Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project.
The northbound SR 51 ramp to westbound Loop 101 and the westbound Loop 101 on-ramp at 56th Street will also be closed.
In the West Valley, northbound Loop 202 will be closed between Lower Buckeye and Buckeye roads from 3 a.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Monday for bridge work.

The northbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Broadway Road will also be closed during that time.
