PHOENIX – Police are looking for a Phoenix man who is suspected of arranging for a 15-year-old Washington girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert on Monday to be brought to Mexico.
Police are still searching for 36-year-old Daniel Ovante in connection to an Amber Alert that was issued by Washington State Patrol for Angeles V. Revuelta-Buenrostro, of Yakima, Washington. Police said she went to take the garbage out Monday morning and did not return.
Revuelta-Buenrostro was previously found in Phoenix with Ovante in October 2020 when she had run away from her home after being coerced on social media.
Ovante allegedly made threats to take Revuelta-Buenrostro and kill her family.
Police believe Ovante is currently in Mexico.
Revuelta-Buenrostro was found outside of Wells, Nevada, Monday night during a traffic stop.
Police arrested 34-year-old Eric Landeros for kidnapping and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
He is currently being held in the Elko County Jail in Elko, Nevada, on a $250,000 bond.
According to Yakima Police, Revuelta-Buenrostro was still in Wells waiting for family to come pick her up after being located.
