PHOENIX — Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill announced a new location will be opening in Scottsdale in February 2021, marking the restaurant’s third Valley location.
The new restaurant will be in the Mercado del Lago Plaza by the intersection of Hayden Road and Via de Ventura.
The 3,500 square-foot space will feature a large bar as the focal point of the dining room and a 2,200 square-foot patio with lake views and access to Indian Bend Wash Greenbelt Park.
“We are so excited to unveil this beautiful restaurant to the community,” Robby Nethercut, chief operations officer at Z’Tejas, said in a press release.
“We hope to dazzle our long-time fans and surprise our new guests with our incredible food, indulgent service and entertaining new space.”
The restaurant will offer similar dishes as the two other Valley locations in Paradise Valley and Chandler, such as shrimp tostada bites, Santa Fe enchiladas, diablo pasta and a rotating seasonal menu highlighting specialty dishes and drink pairings.
Drink choices include the Sixth Street house margarita, Chambord margarita and tequila flights along with hand-crafted non-alcoholic drinks.
The restaurant will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Along with its Valley locations, Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill also has two restaurants in Austin, Texas.
Scenes of both states are depicted in hand-painted murals flanking the bar in the new Scottsdale location.
