PHOENIX – Arizonans playing the lottery this holiday season could be in for the prize of a lifetime.
The Arizona Lottery said in a press release on Tuesday that the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots are the largest combined jackpots since the coronavirus pandemic started with a grand total of $651 million.
The combined jackpots have not reached these levels since June 2019.
The Mega Millions jackpot, which will be drawn at 9 p.m. Tuesday, is estimated at $330 million.
The Powerball jackpot has an estimated value of $321 million. That drawing will take place Wednesday at 9 p.m.
Arizonans have had plenty of luck playing the Powerball in the last week with three separate people winning $50,000 in the same drawing.
Tickets for both games are $2 each and players can add the Megaplier or Powerball option for an additional $1, which multiplies all prizes outside of the jackpot.
If you’re looking for stocking stuffers ahead of the holiday, the Arizona Lottery is also reminding players that tickets are only suitable gifts for adults and minors are not eligible to play.
