PHOENIX – An after-hours fire damaged Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria in east Phoenix late Wednesday, fire officials said.
The small blaze at the takeout- and delivery-only site at 56th Street and Indian School Road started inside a wall in the back, Capt. Todd Kelly of the Phoenix Fire Department said in an email.
Crews responding to reports of smoke at the Arcadia neighborhood restaurant arrived around 10:30 p.m., about half an hour after the restaurant closed.
Firefighters found the source and were able to keep the flames from spreading to the restaurant next door.
