PHOENIX – A winter storm is forecasted to hit downtown Phoenix after the Christmas holiday.
The Arizona Science Center is hosting its 9th annual Snow Week starting Dec. 26 with coronavirus precautions in place, according to a press release Monday.
Kids of all ages will be able to experience the science behind ice and snow with hourly demonstrations.
They’ll also have the chance to build a snow pal in the construction zone with real snow.
Unlike in years past, the center will not have snow outside on the big hill.
In an effort to mitigate the spread of coronavirus, the center is requires tickets to be purchased in advance because of limited capacity. Face coverings are also required to enter the facility.
All Snow Week activities are included with the self-guided experience admission to the Science Center.
Snow Week will take place Dec. 26 to Jan. 1, but will be closed on Dec. 29.
Members will be able to enjoy an extra hour of fun starting at 9:30 a.m., and the general public can enjoy the fun from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
