PHOENIX – A Valley holiday tradition may not be taking the stage in front of an audience this year, but Ballet Arizona will host a virtual version of “The Nutcracker” over two weekends.

The performance company said that the dancers will perform an abridged version of the classic show, “The Nutcracker Suite,” on Saturday and Dec. 19.

The Nutcracker Suite features a handful of favorite scenes from the traditional performance and bonus content like behind-the-scenes segments and dancer interviews.

Ballet Arizona’s digital stream will be available starting at 3 p.m. on the day of the performance and is $20 through the company’s website. Access to the performance will be available for 24 hours after the show.

Fans will also have the opportunity to shop holiday ornaments, nutcracker dolls, holiday pointe shoes and more at the company’s online boutique.

All proceeds from the stream will go to benefit Ballet Arizona.

We want to hear from you.
