PHOENIX – One of metro Phoenix’s most successful restaurant operators is getting ready to launch two new takeout-only venues.
The first, called Fly Bye To Go, is a new venture for Fox Restaurant Concepts. The second will be a to-go version of Flower Child in Tempe.
Fly Bye will start serving up square pizzas and crispy chicken in Phoenix on Wednesday, with daily hours of 3-9 p.m. It’s based at Fox’s Culinary Dropout at The Yard location on Seventh Street south of Bethany Home Road.
The new concept’s main event is a selection of eight-piece pizzas sized to feed 3-4 people, with prices ranging from $20 for classic cheese to $24 for black truffle mushroom.
Fly Bye’s chicken comes in tenders or wings, with eight sauce options for tossing or dipping. Salads and mozzarella sticks are also on the menu.
The takeout-only Flower Child is expected to open next month at The Yard at Farmers Arts District (149 S. Farmer Ave.). It will be the concept’s fifth Phoenix-area location and first in Tempe.
Like the chain’s other venues, the to-go Flower Child will offer made-from scratch salads, bowls and wraps using farm-fresh ingredients.
Flower Child has more than 20 U.S. locations outside of Arizona.
Last year, The Cheesecake Factory bought Fox Restaurant Concepts in a deal worth nearly $500 million.
As part of the package, which included Zinburger, Doughbird, North Italia and more, Sam Fox stayed on to lead the company he founded from its Phoenix headquarters.
