PHOENIX — Grimaldi’s Pizzeria has opened a new satellite kitchen in Scottsdale, offering the same menu as dine-in restaurants but with a fully contactless experience.
The to-go shop offers delivery and carryout only, and is located inside Kitchen United MIX, a facility that provides individual commercial kitchen equipment and spaces to more than a dozen restaurant brands all under one roof.
“In the wake of the pandemic and the growing trend of convenience-driven options, we felt the time was right to launch a takeout and delivery only satellite kitchen,” Joseph Ciolli, CEO of Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, said in a press release.
Grimaldi’s Pizzeria To-Go is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily at the southwest corner of Scottsdale Road and Shea Boulevard.
Diners can order delivery or carryout online or can walk in and place an order at the kiosks to take home.
“With the growth we’ve seen in our to-go and delivery business, as well as the added convenience of these to-go only locations, this alternative model allows us to grow our brand in existing and new markets,” Ciolli said.
This is the first takeout location of its kind for the restaurant. Grimaldi’s is working opening a second satellite kitchen in Austin, Texas.
