PHOENIX — Sections of Loop 303 near Happy Valley Parkway in Peoria will be closed at night on Monday and Tuesday as crews set up barrier walls in preparation for a widening project, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Northbound Loop 303 between Happy Valley and Lone Mountain parkways will be closed from 10 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday. Drivers can exit northbound Loop 303 to eastbound Happy Valley Parkway and use northbound Lake Pleasant Parkway to get around the construction.

The widening project, starting in December, will add a third lane in both directions along Loop 303 between Happy Valley and Lake Pleasant parkways, according to ADOT.
A new Loop 303 traffic interchange for the future Jomax Parkway will also be constructed.
It will take approximately one year to complete the widening project, according to ADOT.
