PHOENIX – Police in Tempe are searching for a suspect after two female Arizona State University students reported being groped by a man riding a skateboard in separate incidents early Monday morning.

The first incident occurred around 1 a.m. at the Paseo Del Saber/Apache Boulevard crosswalk. A woman told ASU police a man grabbed her buttocks while skateboarding past her.

About 20 minutes later, a man on a skateboard allegedly touched a woman’s breast as he rode past near Forest Avenue and University Drive, about a mile from the first incident.

The woman in the second incident reported it to Tempe police, who notified ASU police.

Both victims said the suspect is a white male in his late teens-to-early 20s. They described him as tall and thin and said he was wearing a dark-colored hoodie, dark hat and khaki pants.

Anybody with information about the cases was asked to call ASU police at 480-965-3456 or Tempe police at 480-350-8311.

We want to hear from you.
