PHOENIX – Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines has added three nonstop routes from Phoenix to California cities starting in February.
The flights out of Sky Harbor Airport to Oakland, Ontario and Sacramento are scheduled to take off twice a week initially, then expand to four times beginning March 11.
“We’re excited to offer Phoenix flyers three new nonstop routes with service to California’s Bay Area, SoCal and the state’s capital,” Frontier Airline executive Daniel Shurz said Tuesday in a press release.
The airline will begin Phoenix-Oakland routes Feb. 5, followed by Ontario, which is about 40 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, and Sacramento both beginning Feb. 11.
Introductory rates for a one-way flight to any of the three new cities is $19.
Frontier charges separate fees for carry-on and checked luggage, meals, seat selection and seats that have more legroom, among other add-ons.
