5 great buys on Black Friday

Black Friday shopping may look a little different this year but, whether you shop from home or take safety measures and hit up a few stores, there are plenty of good deals this holiday season.
One major difference this year is that Black Friday deals will be spread throughout the month, so you have time to research what you want. As you consider your must-have items, here are some commonly discounted products and how you can snag the best deals on them.
Laptops
Spending time both working and playing from home, your laptop has likely gotten a lot of use. Fortunately, now is a great time for an upgrade. In fact, Black Friday may be the best time of year to get a deal on a PC.
You can buy discounted laptops from manufacturer websites, including HP, Acer, and Alienware, or check local stores, such as Costco, OfficeMax, and Best Buy.
Streaming subscriptions
To the surprise of no one, streaming has increased in popularity this year. There was an immediate uptick in the spring, and that didn’t go away.
While deals have not yet been announced, keep an eye on your favorite streaming websites. If last year’s Black Friday sales are any indication, there could be some major discounts on the table from services such as Hulu, Netflix, Disney+, and Apple TV+.
Smartphones
Some sales have already been announced, and more may be in the pipeline on devices like the iPhone 12, Galaxy Note 20, and Galaxy S20.
A good strategy for finding a deal that works for you is to keep an eye on your service provider’s website. Many of them also offer financing, so you can pay for a new phone over time, instead of forking out the cash up front.
As for unlocked phones, Amazon already has sales posted.
Robot vacuums
Sales on robot vacuum cleaners are available at many stores, so you simply need to decide which features you want.
Consider whether you need a vacuum that specializes in picking up pet hair, one that connects to Wi-Fi, or one that mops your floors as well. Then check out deals available from retailers such as Walmart, Kohl’s, and The Home Depot.
Vehicles
If you’re planning on gifting a car to a loved one — or yourself — Sanderson Ford is honoring law enforcement, military, first responders, and medical professionals with a Blue Friday sale throughout November that combines Ford incentives, dealership discounts and, for those who serve, double Ford bonus cash. Additionally, anyone can get $8,000 or more off Ford F-150 SuperCrew trucks.
Even better, you don’t have to leave the house, as Sanderson Ford lets you shop, finance, and buy online, then delivers the vehicle to your house.
“This service allows you to apply for credit, choose financing terms and review and select any optional vehicle protection products, all online and whenever is most convenient for you,” Sanderson Ford says.
Give back this holiday season
While you’re shopping, you can also give back to organizations that serve the community through Operation Santa Claus. From Nov. 16 to Dec. 15, donate a new toy, children’s clothing item, packaged food item, or money. All donations benefit St. Mary’s Food Bank, Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center, Military Assistance Mission, Special Olympics Arizona, and Chicanos Por La Causa.
As a bonus, every time you donate, you are entered into a weekly drawing for a $100 Visa gift card and the chance to win a new Ford or Lincoln vehicle.
Visit GiveToTheClaus.com for more information and details about where you can donate.
