Multiple closures on Loop 101, Loop 202 to hinder Valley weekend drivers

PHOENIX – Portions of Loop 101, Loop 202 and Interstate 17 will be closed for improvement projects this weekend, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
In north Phoenix, eastbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed between Seventh Street and Cave Creek Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project.
Near downtown Phoenix, southbound I-17 will be closed at Jefferson Street from 8 p.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Sunday for bridge repairs. The east and westbound Interstate 10 ramps to southbound I-17 at the “stack” interchange will also be closed during this time.
In the East Valley, westbound Loop 202 San Tan Freeway will be closed between Loop 101 Price Freeway and I-10 from 8 p.m. Friday to 1 p.m. Sunday for lane striping.

Eastbound Loop 202 San Tan Freeway will be closed between I-10 and Kyrene Road from 3 a.m. Saturday to 1 p.m. Sunday for overhead line utility work. All I-10 ramps to eastbound Loop 202 will be closed but eastbound Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway ramps to I-10 will stay open.
Finally, eastbound I-10 will be narrowed to two lanes overnight between Guadalupe and Elliott roads from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday to Thursday nights for pavement repairs.
