Ongoing Loop 101 widening project to hinder weekend drivers

PHOENIX – Weekend drivers will face closures on the Loop 101 in the North Valley as crews make progress on an ongoing widening project, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Eastbound Loop 101 will be closed between Interstate 17 and Seventh Avenue from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project. As a result, the northbound and southbound I-17 ramps to eastbound Loop 101 are also closed.
Next, Central Avenue will be closed in both directions at I-17 south of downtown Phoenix from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for bridge work.

Drivers in Casa Grande will face restrictions on Interstate 10. Westbound I-10 will be narrowed to one lane and eastbound I-10 will be narrowed to two lanes near Jimmie Kerr Boulevard from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for bridge maintenance.
In Maricopa, State Route 347 will be narrowed to one lane in both directions overnight between the areas of I-10 and Hathaway Avenue from 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Thursday. This is an extended maintenance project that will last from Nov. 1 to Dec. 24.
For Valley drivers traveling to Tucson, westbound I-10 will be narrowed to one lane overnight in the areas between SR 387 near Casa Grande to SR 587 from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights.
