PHOENIX – A new plant-based Mexican food restaurant will open its first location in Tempe next week.
GuacStar Kitchen and Cantina will open its 4,650-square-foot location on the corner of University Drive and Rural Road next to Tempe Improv Comedy Club on Nov. 5.
The restaurant will feature vegan versions of Mexican comfort food classics and craft cocktails in a contemporary environment at the second floor location.
Restaurateurs James Carlin, Tom Cerino and Randy Feldman designed GuacStar to help create an exciting dining experience when it comes to plant-based eating, similar to those that are in cities such as Los Angeles and New York City.
GuacStar’s mission is also to show people that they don’t have to sacrifice taste or their wallet to enjoy vegan food.
The restaurant plans to be a place for people to grab a late-night cocktails and for friends and family to gather to socialize.
