PHOENIX – A Silver Alert was canceled Wednesday after a missing suburban Phoenix woman who suffers from dementia was located and returned to her family.
The alert for Vicky Frederick, 66, of Sun City, was issued earlier that day.
She’d last been seen Monday at home near Del Webb Boulevard and U.S. 60, around 8 p.m.
Frederick’s sister called Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday to report her missing. Frederick left behind her cellphone.
Deputies learned that Frederick was involved in a traffic accident near 75th and Olive avenues and told responding officers she was lost because she was unfamiliar with the area.
She was driving a burgundy 2005 Honda CRV bearing Arizona license plate CKX9648.
Frederick is 5 feet tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has gray hair and green eyes. She was wearing a black sweater, white shirt, black checkered pants and black shoes.
