PHOENIX — It’s time to grab your costumes — and one for your car as well.

The city of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a “Spooky Boo Throo” at Pecos Community Center Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Each car will be treated with a candy bag at the free drive-thru trick-or-treating event. Prizes will also be up for grabs for winners of a costume contest.

Costume contest categories include: spookiest, most original, best in show and group costume.

Guests are encouraged to decorate their cars.

The city is also planning two more drive-thru events on Friday.

A Spooky Boo Throo will take place at the South Mountain Community Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In Maryvale, the trick-or-treat drive-thru will take place at Maryvale Community Center from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Guests at all three events are asked to wear a mask or face covering and must remain in their vehicles at all times.

We want to hear from you.
